Many cockroach populations have evolved to avoid the glucose used in standard baits. Advion® uses a proprietary non-glucose matrix that is irresistible even to the most resistant "bait-shy" populations — ensuring a lethal dose is consumed every time, regardless of behavioral resistance.

What makes the MetaActive™ effect different from other products?

Most insecticides work on contact or on the surface. Advion®'s active ingredient, indoxacarb, remains completely inactive until it is consumed by the cockroach. Once inside, the pest's own enzymes activate the compound — making it highly targeted, highly effective, and less likely to affect non-target organisms when used as directed.

How quickly will I see results?

Most customers begin seeing a noticeable reduction in cockroach activity within 24 hours of the first application. However, Advion®'s true power lies in its Horizontal Transfer technology — which continues to collapse the colony over 3 to 7 days by spreading through grooming and feeding behavior. Full elimination typically occurs within one to two weeks depending on infestation severity.

Is Advion® safe to use around children and pets?

Can I use Advion® in food-handling areas like my kitchen or restaurant?

Yes. Advion® is approved for use in sensitive environments including residential kitchens, restaurants, hospitals, schools, and other commercial food-handling establishments. Apply in small, targeted placements in cracks and crevices away from direct food contact surfaces. Always follow label instructions for food-handling area use.

How do I apply Advion® correctly for best results?

Apply small pea-sized dots (approximately 0.5g each) near active harborages — cracks, crevices, behind appliances, under sinks, and along baseboards. For light infestations: 1 to 3 placements per 10 linear feet. For heavy infestations: 3 to 5 placements per 10 linear feet. Avoid applying near repellent sprays or heavily cleaned surfaces — these reduce palatability and effectiveness.

What cockroach species does Advion® work on?

Advion® Cockroach Gel Bait is effective against all major cockroach species including German, American, Australian, Brown, Smokybrown, Oriental, Asian, and Brown-banded cockroaches. It is the only product you need for comprehensive, multi-species cockroach control.

Can I use Advion® alongside other pest control sprays?

No — and this is critical. Never use repellent sprays such as aerosol insecticides near Advion® placements.
